Overview of Job Function:

Verint’s Automation Engineer, Cloud provisions, configures and maintains Verint’s cloud defined as code that is secure, scalable and highly available.

Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:

  • Automate the provisioning, configuration and maintenance of the cloud infrastructure; defined as code that is secure, scalable and highly available

  • Build, set up and maintain new development tools

  • Troubleshoot problems within automation tooling

  • Write specifications and documentation for automation tooling in a process-oriented fashion

  • Participate in project planning meetings to share knowledge of system options, risk, impact and cost / benefit information

  • Engage in code / design reviews and peer-programming efforts to build solutions

  • Review human-executed work tasks and design automation or pipeline improvements

  • Work with teams to create CI/CD pipelines to deliver autonomous deployments at scale

  • Design automation for Windows, Linux, and Containers in a complex global multi-cloud environment

Minimum Requirements:

  • Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical degree

  • Experience interacting with REST APIs

  • Ability to work both independently as well as in a dynamic, distributed team environment

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong understanding of how to secure AWS environments and meet compliance requirements (PCI, SOC, HIPAA)

  • Strong time management, written and verbal communication skills

  • Successful completion of a background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC, SS Verification, as well as credit and drug screening, where applicable and in accordance with federal and local regulations.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with Ansible

  • Solid foundation of networking, Windows and Linux administration

  • Experience in a DevOps/Platform/Infrastructure role utilizing AWS / Azure / GCP cloud

  • Experience deploying and managing cloud infrastructure utilizing Terraform, Ansible, Python, PowerShell

  • Experience with Python or other similar scripting language

  • Experience managing Jenkins or similar CI/CD service

  • Experience with Docker and / or Kubernetes

  • Experience with source control tools such as Git, Jira as well as documentation control tools such as Confluence
