Logan A/C & Heat Services HVAC Installation Supervisor in Columbus, Ohio

Summary: This position is responsible for providing the daily leadership, support, management, and direction to Installation personnel of assigned market including Lead Installers, Install Assistants (IA), and Install Apprentices (IAP). Is a “Team First”, solutions driven and results oriented leader that acts as the champion, voice, and mentor to the Install associates. Assists in the coordination of all new system installations and any post-installation related issues. Assists the Installation Manager with tracking and measurement of established performance metrics and objectives within the team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Be the champion, mentor, and leader of install team associates with a “Team First” attitude by providing support, guidance, recognition and coaching while developing a culture of trust, candor, engagement, and commitment to excellence across Install team. This would include responsibilities such as phone support, troubleshooting advice, site visits, content development for group meetings/communication and the like.

• Takes a proactive approach to positive relationship building and engagement. Actively works to ensure retention plans and strategy are aligned with goals and needs of install team associates.

• Provide daily oversight, guidance, and support to Lead Installers, IA's, and IAP's across all markets, including on-site supervision in the field, as well as after hours phone/technical support as needed.

• Conduct on-site evaluations and perform installation report assessments on a regular and consistent basis.

• Assist internal LSI associates or external customers with any installation related questions or knowledge required. This would include coordination with departments such as Sales, Install Coordination, Service and Logistics.

• Maintain updated knowledge of local codes, policies, and all products supplied by company

• Provide customer service support as needed to assist in resolving customer related issues.

• Review sales and job contracts, equipment packages, and required materials (Verified By Office – VBO process) for accuracy to ensure a quality job install prior to Installation team departure to customer location.

• Participate and assist as required in the hiring and evaluation process of Installation team associates (IA's & Lead Installers)

• Perform ride along assessments for potential new hires to evaluate skill level, technical competency, customer service skills, and overall LSI team compatibility.

Perform in-depth ride along assessments and evaluations of all current Installers, IA's, and IAP's to ensure performance is at the minimum required levels necessary. Report and track as required.

• Conduct monthly Tier Pay Plan (TPP) meetings with Lead Installers where review of key metrics and performance are discussed.

o Through review of metrics/analytics, and from on site evaluations, identify areas of improvement needed for specific installers (Leads, Apprentices, IA's), and develop action plans to mitigate low performance areas. This to also include working with Installation Manager and Installation Training Specialist to design and implement applicable training plans to help improve the performance and skills as identified.

• Participate in Installation Department processes such as Quality Commissioning Sheet (QCS) review after installation is complete, Met Completion review, and Call Back/Failed Inspection report review.

• Participate in training classes for Install TEAMs as assigned that would include requirements for participation in Saturday Apprentice/IA training dates.

• Works with local inspectors and agencies in cases of failed inspections, callbacks, etc. to ensure all regulations are met and LSI quality standards are adhered too.

• As needed, work with local Operations Manager & Logistics / Warehouse personnel regarding adequate stocking levels of equipment, parts, supplies, and materials as needed.

• Provide daily oversight and operational direction in the absence of Installation Manager as required / needed.

• Provide daily, weekly, monthly reports and established performance metrics to management as required.

• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Experience and Requirements:

• 5+ years as a Lead Installer of residential replacement HVAC systems

• 1 + years experience in a supervisory or management role leading multiple (5+) associate teams (Preferred)

• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment. Ability to handle multiple tasks and move between activities that require immediate response.

• Intermediate skill level and ability in computer knowledge and skills utilizing PC based applications and business systems.

• Working knowledge of iPads and smart phones

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Strong organizational skills. Attention to detail

• Able to work overtime, nights, and weekend hours
