What You Will Contribute to OHM Advisors As the Human Resources Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of the HR department by leading core HR functions including Client Service, Recruitment, Employee Relations and Culture, Benefits & Compensation, Compliance, and HR personnel management. You will ensure that all HR plans, policies, processes, and procedures comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company guidelines. By aligning staffing and skills with departmental needs, you will contribute to the efficient functioning of HR operations. Additionally, you will play a key role in fostering a positive workplace culture and driving employee engagement within HR, ensuring a supportive and productive environment for all employees. Your Responsibilities Technical Expertise and Creative Aspects of HR: * Oversee the execution of HR programs, including setting objectives, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring projects are completed within budget. * Provide support and guidance to HR team members, management, and staff on complex and sensitive issues, including coaching hiring managers on HR policies, processes, and procedures. * Support and guide throughout the full recruitment cycle (job postings, interview selection, and candidate recruitment). * Provide support to the Director on HR staff hiring, disciplinary actions, layoffs, terminations, and investigations. Benefits & Compensation Administration: * Oversee the administration of all employee health, welfare, and retirement plans, providing strategic guidance on plan/program design, costs, funding, and competitiveness as a member of the Employee Benefits Oversight Committee. * Conduct workforce analysis and employee census for annual benefit renewals. * Participate in salary surveys to maintain market competitiveness. Compliance & Reporting: * Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, advising on risk mitigation and maintaining the Affirmative Action Plan. * Monitor and implement applicable federal and state human resource requirements, conducting investigations, maintaining records, and representing the organization at hearings to ensure legal compliance. * Prepare required government reports related to EEO compliance and other HR functions (e.g., EEO-1, municipal, county, OSHA, employee census, and 5500 reporting). * Oversee required state, county, and city certifications. * Oversee the tracking and management of the annual HR budget. * Provide real-time metrics to enable effective workforce management and trend identification, including research and tracking of HR statistical information (new hires, turnover, hiring sources, recruiting efforts, leads, and employee referrals).
