Early Childhood Mental Health - Family Therapist I Requisition ID 2024-52410 Category Behavioral Health Overview The Early Childhood Mental Health (ECMH) Family Therapist is responsible for providing behavioral health care for children (birth through kindergarten) and their families, as part of an integrated, multidisciplinary team. ECMH services are focused on developing attachment, parenting strategies and social-emotional development and include completing developmentally sensitive, trauma informed diagnostic assessments, providing evidence-based/evidence-informed intervention, ensuring linkage with other ancillary early childhood services, and providing early childhood mental health consultation/education. Responsibilities * Completes developmentally-sensitive, trauma-informed ECMH diagnostic assessment. * Provides individual and family therapy. * Provide care coordination, collaboration with ECMH multi-disciplinary team, and early childhood mental health consultation/education. * Ensures proper and timely completion of clinical documentation, program statistics, outcome data, and other related administrative paperwork in accordance with policy standards. * This position requires occasional early evening appointments and on-call responsibilities. Qualifications Education Requirement: Masters or doctoral degree from an accredited university or professional school of Counseling, Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy. Licensure Requirement: Appropriate Ohio licensure in mental health. Active Ohio driver's license with proof of auto insurance required. Certifications: Ohio Infant MH and/or ECMH credential preferred. Skills: * Understand and embrace a trauma-informed, multidisciplinary approach for working with young children, families and other caregivers and staff. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, peers and community representatives. * Ability to work with the hospital's electronic medical records system and other data and scheduling systems. * Ability to work and flexibly problem-solve; ability to adapt to change positively in work-flow and process. * The position will require extensive interaction with parents and their children.
