JPMorgan Chase Control Functions Attorney - Legal and Regulatory Change Management - Assistant Vice President, Sr. Counsel in Columbus, Ohio

CCB includes Auto Finance, Business Banking, Card Services, Consumer Banking, Digital and Payments, Home Lending, JPMorgan Wealth Management, and associated operations. As a Senior Counsel, Assistant Vice President on the Control Functions Legal team, you will monitor, analyze, report, and advise on changes in laws and regulations that impact all of CCB's lines of business. You will also collaborate with stakeholders, leverage emerging AI/ML technologies, and draft impactful summaries to guide legal and business decisions.

Job responsibilities

  • Participate in the design, implementation and enhancement of legal and regulatory change management processes, including by evaluating the use of emerging technology

  • Monitor for legal and regulatory changes that impact CCB

  • Draft clear and concise summaries of developments, highlighting key impacts for legal and business colleagues

  • Collaborate with legal and control function stakeholders across CCB on legal, regulatory, and change management issues

  • Develop and present research to management

  • Provide other support to the team and our clients, including responding to inquiries from regulators, audit, and compliance, and special research projects

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • J.D. or educational equivalent required.

  • Three or more years of experience in legal practice in consumer banking, financial services regulation, and/or financial services litigation

  • Excellent legal analysis and research skills, including issue-spotting

  • Knowledge of state legislative and regulatory processes

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Able to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team, to take ownership of responsibilities, to collaborate well, and to proactively solve problems

  • Able to multitask and prioritize work intelligently in a fast-paced and complex business environment

  • All candidates for roles in the Legal department must successfully complete a conflicts of interest clearance review prior to commencement of employment

Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Regulatory, government, or compliance experience

  • Artificial Intelligence, including Machine Learning and Large Language Models

  • Business Intelligence Solutions Applications

  • Technological mindset/background
