JPMorgan Chase Consumer Banking Business Controls in Columbus, Ohio

If you are interested in learning banking operations and the regulations impacting them or expand your experience, the Continuous Improvement and Business Controls team in Regulatory and Events Operations can help. Regulatory Event & Compliance Operations (RECO) provides operational leadership and processes for regulatory reporting and remittance. In our team, you will get a solid foundation in learning various operational processes, regulatory requirements and data analytical skills, working with all lines of business across the firm to expand and progress in your career with the Bank.

As a Business Analysis Associate II in the Continuous Improvement and Business Controls team, you will have the opportunity to get a solid foundation in various banking operational processes, regulatory requirements and data analytical skills. As you will work with all major lines of business across the firm, you will learn their processes, products and systems to help you progress in your career with the Bank.

Job responsibilities:

  • Analyze business process for gaps, opportunities, control breaks, compliance alignment and work with partners to produce a resolution

  • Partner with businesses across the firm to strengthen the control environment and prepare the operations teams to be audit ready

  • Conduct Change Management Assessments to ensure process/system changes are evaluated, updated, tested and implemented in a timely manner

  • Leverage data analytical skills to identify gaps and exceptions

  • Identify opportunities for improvements and apply new tools and technology to meet the current business needs as well as be proactive in anticipating future needs in a dynamic environment.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • 4 years of relevant operations experience in data analytics, problem resolution and change management.

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Proficiency with standard MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Access)

  • Ability to deliver value-added support to business partners in a dependable, timely and accurate manner

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Must be detailed and quality assurance oriented with willingness to ask questions to gain full understanding of products or processes

  • 4 plus years of experience with programming language, e.g. SQL, Python, R, SAS, Java, Alteryx

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Self-starter with excellent analytical, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills

  • Flexible individual who can easily and efficiently transition across topics and disciplines

This is a Hybrid position which will require the incumbent to commute/work on site 3 days a week and work from home 2 days a week.
