Job Title - Department Commercial Closing SBA Portfolio Officer - Loan Doc & Funding Control Location This position is 100% remote within the Bank's footprint. Employee will work full time remote outside of a WesBanco location (may occasionally attend in person meetings, although primary functions of the role are performed remotely). Market Central OH Work Hours per Week 37.5 Requirements * High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required. Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance is a plus. * Minimum of 3 years of commercial banking or related experience required. * SBA Loan documentation, packaging or underwriting experience preferred. * Prior loan closing or lending experience a plus. Job Description SUMMARY: This position is directly responsible for the integrity of the loan closing, due diligence and documentation for Commercial and Business Banking Loans with enhancements by the U.S. Small Business Administration ("SBA") per SBA Standard Operating Procedures and WesBanco Credit Policy guidelines. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Coordinates closing portfolio of commercial and business banking SBA loans while managing sound risk and credit management practices that are consistent with the Bank's Credit Policy and SBA Standard Operating Procedures. * Maintains an expert knowledge on SBA and WesBanco commercial loan documentation and SBA and WesBanco policies and procedures. * Serves as a project manager to facilitate and drives the closing for Commercial and Small (SBU) Banking SBA Loans. * Performs training and mentoring for future SBA staff members, as applicable. * Coaches and mentors others while maintaining individual production and a high level of accuracy. * Ensures the loan structure and terms, due diligence, documentation, and loan booking and closing files conform to the SBA Loan Authorization, credit approval and bank policies, the requirements for the market to close are detailed, and to identify and appropriately mitigate any exceptions when they exist. * Maintains a fluent understanding of policies and procedures as they relate to the commercial lending function, and a comprehensive knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations applicable to the work being performed. * Maintains working knowledge of commercial lending and SBA standards, banking laws and regulations, and bank credit policies and procedures as they relate to business and/or commercial banking. * Accurately enters information and upload documents in the SBA or workflow systems, Capitalstream, or other computer software utilized by the department. * Works with other departments within the bank to ensure that all required information has been obtained per SBA Standard Operating Procedures and the SBA Loan Authorization.
