Clinical Research Project Manager - RI Gene Therapy Requisition ID 2024-48659 Category Research Overview The Project Manager develops and implements a structure to support long-term growth and continuity of the Center for Gene Therapy. Responsibilities Defines and implements financial and infrastructure to support research growth. Creates an environment where investigators are comfortable asking for the support they need to explore their research passions. Identifies portfolio management-related educational needs within the center and creates or acquires programming to meet those needs. Prepares and teaches research-related education sessions, as applicable. Monitors changes in grant/contract application requirements and ensures that all researchers are educated in the new processes. Mentors researchers in all phases of grant/contract application and management. Monitors grant/contract-related finances and assists with grant funding and writing. Develops and tracks gene therapy research performance measures. Leads and participates in ongoing grant/contract reviews on a biweekly or monthly basis. Facilitates conflict management plans to ensure adherence and compliance of applicable criteria within the center. Supports the acquisition of funding to support center educational conferences or initiatives. Note: Regular, reliable and consistent attendance is an essential job function. Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, translational medicine or related field and 5-10 years experience. Certifications: CITI certification Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and strong verbal and written communication skills required. High level of initiative, self-direction and accountability for actions required. Strong leadership and decision-making skills required Exceptional customer service, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal relationship skills required for interaction with contacts.
