Primary Function Responsible for entering, updating and maintaining materials and bills of material within company's PLM system and development of tools and processes to improve Engineering efficiency in maintaining configuration of all products. Responsibilities Role Specific Responsibilities Understand, at both high and detailed levels, how Company's ERP and PLM systems interact throughout the company. Identify areas critical to data integrity and develop systems and processes to efficiently deliver error-free product changes. Process Engineering Changes utilizing Company's PLM system in an accurate and timely manner. Review and approve all changes for content and accuracy prior to release to production. Create start material and BOMs for all ETO processes. Maintain the Variant Configuration BOMs within the PLM system. Evaluate and implement Bill of Material and Material Master changes in Company's PLM system, which may require gathering additional information, sending the change for review, and tracking results. Understand departmental policies, processes and procedures for assigning part numbers, redlining bills of material, and revising drawings while utilizing Company's PLM system. Maintain and update departmental files (BOM Manual) as directed by management. Verify accuracy and completeness of Bills of Material prior to release for costing and production and report any issues. Verify consistency of material master descriptions and drawing descriptions, in accordance with policy and procedures on all processes prior to release. Coordinate and participate in auditing units in Manufacturing to verify both BOM's and Manufacturing build accuracy. Communicate inconsistencies to the department supervisor, Engineering and Manufacturing designated representatives. Adhere to all Company's safety policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Associates degree in Engineering related field Minimum of 3 or more years of BOM Production Configuration experience with the configurator tool required. Must have strong administrative skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Must work well both independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to interface with all levels of the organization.
