Actalent Aseptic Cleaning Technician - Lead in Columbus, Ohio

ASEPTIC CLEANING LEAD

We are currently hiring a Team Lead for our Laboratory Aseptic Cleaning team! This is a long-term career opportunity and we are looking for someone with experience performing aseptic cleaning, sanitation, or sterilization in a heavily regulated cleanroom manufacturing/laboratory environment. Must have experience fully gowning up. Typical experience will come from a cleanroom laboratory, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or similar GMP regulated environment.

This role will primarily focus on keeping the cleanroom laboratory sterilized and will have to fully gown up when going in and out of rooms. Will also be leading the team of Aseptic Cleaners including training, delegating duties, and performing other leadership responsibilities as needed.

Shift: 1st Shift, 6am - 2:30pm, Monday - Friday

Description:

  • Perform routine cleaning of cleanroom facility and adjacent controlled space.

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies related to cleaning and appropriate behavior in cleanroom environment.

  • Demonstrate appropriate chemical handling to meet department standards including identifying chemicals, ensuring proper use and preparation, appropriate labeling, and storage requirements.

  • Maintain cleaning equipment, gowning materials, and supplies within storage areas and locker room.

  • Adhere to facility gowning requirements and remain current by demonstrating competence during annual gowning qualification.

  • Observe Good Documentation Practices (GDP) when recording data on controlled documentation.

  • Remain professional, work expected hours, complete training, and communicate effectively with team members.

  • Perform Environmental Monitoring (EM) of controlled spaces, if required.

  • Use email, Microsoft Teams, and training software on a daily basis.

  • Additional tasks as related to the Cleaning Operations team.

Lead Responsibilities

  • Review and approve electronic timecards of Actalent personnel using software.

  • Act as Safety Officer for 1st shift and ensure appropriate safety compliance.

  • Train and mentor personnel and provide feedback to Program Manager.

  • Track and trend team metrics as needed.

  • Use of email, Excel, Teams, and electronic timecards.

Qualifications:

  • MUST have at least a high school diploma or GED.

  • MUST have experience with Aseptic Cleaning in a cleanroom environment, or laboratory sanitation experience.

  • Preferably at least 1 year of leadership experience.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00
