Location: Columbus - Columbus, OH, United States (US) Employment Status: Salary Full-Time Req ID: 24599 Position Summary: Identify the manufacturing process, recommend the machinery concept, develop the cost model, write project proposal, and provide technical expertise to sell Lincoln Electric Automation-designed equipment. Position responsibilities: * Develop manufacturing process equipment concepts capable of producing customer products. * Assess the feasibility of automation systems based on input data supplied by Sales, Engineering, Management, and customers. * Develop project cost model using historical data, experience, and input from internal departments. * Create proposal documentation which clearly defines the solution, scope of supply, and exclusions. * Lead proposal review meetings. * Lead technical and commercial discussions with customers. * Develop and implement solutions to reduce the costs of projects. * Follow-up with Sales and customers after proposal submission. * Assist with customer communication, presentations, and trade related events. * Follow company and departmental procedures, work instructions, and best-practices. Essential skills and experience: * Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field / experience. * Preferred 7 years of experience in design, manufacturing, and use of industrial automated equipment. * High Pressure Die Casting, Foundry, Forging industry work experience preferred. * Process engineering, project management experience preferred. * 2D CAD (DraftSight), 3D CAD (SolidWorks), or equivalents. * Proficient in Microsoft software suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Project) * Exemplary written and verbal communication skills. * Data analysis, costing, negotiation * Commitment to company values * Educational, training, and experience requirements may be modified at the Managements Team's discretion. Nonessential skills and experience: * Industry standards experience utilizing FMEA, Risk assessment, Safety design, ISO9001 Role qualifications: * Must be familiar with company quality objectives and play an active role in reaching continuous improvement objectives. * Play an active role reviewing and developing customer process requirements as it pertains to the application of our products. * Play an active role in identifying and communicating issues that could impact customer satisfaction.
