Are you a welding pro looking to bring your skills to a dynamic and innovative team? We have an amazing opportunity for a Welder to lay out, fit and fabricate metal components for assembling structural forms. If you have expertise in welding techniques, metallurgy and engineering requirements, we want to hear from you!
Summary of the Welder position: Schedule: Sunday - Wednesday 8 PM - 6:30 AM Compensation: $19/hour + DOE
What You'll Do: Weld components in flat, vertical or overhead positions Tack-weld or weld components and assemblies using electric, gas, arc or other welding equipment Remove rough spots from workpieces with portable grinders, hand files or scrapers Maintain and repair equipment as needed Interpret drawings and plans to carry out precise work Lay out, position and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications using the proper tools/equipment Inspect grooves, angles or gap allowances with micrometers, calipers and precision measuring tools Follow schedules to meet drawing requirements Perform other duties as assigned for operational effectiveness
Minimum Qualifications for the Welder position: Prior welding experience preferred Must be able to pass an in-house welding test Safety-minded with a high standard of quality Team player with excellent communication skills Ability to read blueprints Willingness and ability to learn and perform other jobs
Physical Requirements for the Welder position: Able to lift 50 pounds occasionally Continually required to stand Frequently required to walk Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl
