DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Market Intelligence Manager, Industrial (Hybrid role) to join our team specializing in Marketing for our Corporate Unit in Columbus, IN.
Job Summary:
Manages the development of market intelligence through the design, development, and delivery of information, reports, and projects that improve internal knowledge and accurately inform decision making. Partners with segment teams on developing strategies and forming decisions that impact business performance.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Monitor market trends and competitive threats to keep the company informed and proactive.
Generate unbiased market intelligence to support strategic decision-making.
Align with business teams to act as a thought partner for leadership.
Manage special projects to provide market insights for strategy development.
Leverage competitive research to address ad hoc requests from various market segments.
Build segment-specific forecasts to support strategic planning and key initiatives.
Develop and utilize knowledge networks to create a comprehensive market view.
Champion a culture of intelligence gathering to enhance insight generation and support

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
College, university or equivalent degree in marketing, sales, business administration, or related subject required
MBA or equivalent degree highly preferred
Minimum of Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
5-7 years in strategy, business, marketing, or market research
Market intelligence experience highly preferred
Business knowledge preferred
QUALIFICATIONS
College, university or equivalent degree in business administration, market research, investigative journalism, library science and/or business knowledge preferred.
The Market Insights Manager, Industrial markets will become a subject matter expert on the Industrial Markets - PowerGen and Rail or an alternative HHP Market. Specifically, this role will be responsible for analyzing market size and segmentation, developing forecasts and technology adoption models, monitoring market trends and long-term shifts, and assessing competition. Knowledge and past experience in these Industrial markets is strongly preferred. This role will also be subject matter expert on energy and fuels, and own pricing and capacity analysis of various energy sources.
