Description This is a 2nd shift position POSITION SUMMARY: The Shipping & Receiving Team Leader will be responsible for planning, setting goals and developing strategies to meet the goals. The Shipping & Receiving Team Leader will be responsible for and ensure proper safety and efficient production. The Shipping & Receiving Team Leader must comply with federal and state safety regulations and company policies. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Oversees the set up and safe operation of department. Delegate authority and responsibility while maintaining control. Organizes department for meeting production schedules and quality goals. Coordinate the efforts of individuals and the department. Is knowledgeable in the technical aspects of department and processes. Completes all pertinent paperwork. Teaches, trains, coaches and assists team members in processes and procedures. Promotes quality, good housekeeping and ensure a safe work environment. Possesses problem solving skills and be able to generate unique alternative solutions. Is knowledgeable of the organization's structure, policy culture, resources and information sources. Works with Area Manager in areas of job assignments including performance issues and inventory needs. Contributes ideas and actions promoting environmentally sound business practices. Works in conjunction with the Area Manager, to ensure compliance to all quality and environmental systems. Maintains cooperative attitudes with employees. Treats all other team members with respect and dignity. Performs other essential functions as assigned.
