Insight Global Overhead Crane Technician in Columbia, Tennessee
Job Description
Insight Global is looking for Overhead Crane Technicians to join the team of our client located in Columbia, TN. The ideal candidate is dependable, flexible, and has experience as a field service technician, troubleshooting and repairing overhead cranes. This individual should also have an electrical background in A/C, D/C power, drives, motors and electrical troubleshooting. This position will include servicing, inspecting and installing bridge cranes and related support structures for client service calls. The position is primarily a crane technician but include various support roles. Benefits include medical insurance, PTO, holiday and sick time. There is also TONS of overtime potential with this opportunity. The position comes with industry-specific tools and equipped service truck.
Responsibilities:
1. Inspection and Troubleshooting:
* Inspect overhead cranes and hoists for defects, wear, and safety issues
* Read electrical schematics to diagnose problems
* Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
2. Repair and Maintenance:
* Repair motors, electrical components, and mechanical parts
* Occasionally machine or weld parts when necessary
* Clean and maintain crane and hoisting mechanisms
3. Safety Compliance:
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
* Perform preventive maintenance to prevent breakdowns
4. Collaboration:
* Work independently or seek assistance if needed from your team
* Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues
Pay Range: $26.00 - $33.00/hr

Skills and Requirements
* 2+ years of overhead crane and hoist technician experience
* 2+ years of experience as a field service technician
* 1+ years of electrical experience
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* MUST have a clean driving record * Relevant certifications or licenses
* Leadership/Management experience null
