Role Description
The purpose of the lean technician role is to
apply lean methodology (define, measure, analyze, improve,
control) to improve efforts that will achieve both financial and
customer benefits. The specialist will work within established
processes, benchmarks, timelines, and procedures for the
implementation of best practices to assigned IR projects or
programs.
Contribution
Coordinate and support the design and implementation of
operational excellence programs and processes on a local
level.Monitors and controls documentation relative to value
stream improvement processes and initiatives.Produces
presentations and visuals for visual display of progress
to teams. Respond to questions and feedback from value
stream problem solving teams or departments. Serves as
a point of contact scheduling, integration of information
and metrics tracking for vertical value stream process
improvement teams and initiatives.
Communication
Under general supervision, interfaces with Operational
Excellence management and value stream leaders ability
to translate instructions into action.Shares important
information across functions and levels
Dimension
Typically 5+ years of work experience. Often 2 to 5 years post degree or equivalent experience. Technical training in customer relationship management is a plus. Knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
