Boone County Facilities Maintenance Technician in Columbia, Missouri

Boone County, located in Columbia, MO, is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician.

Responsibilities: Performs routine preventive maintenance and repairs on County equipment and buildings, including boilers, liquid chiller units, compressors, power generators, temperature control systems, and air balancing; installs and replaces electrical outlets, light fixtures, switches, wiring, and receptacles, and electronic components of machinery and equipment. Assists in emergency operations, including snow removal, as required. Performs other duties as assigned.

Status: Full-time, non-exempt, benefited

Working Hours: 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday - Friday, participates in an on-call rotation.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED and two years of maintenance and repair experience; experience with fans, pumps, and equipment and controls associated with HVAC systems, fire sprinklers, refrigeration systems, and plumbing. Must have a valid drivers license with an insurable driving record.

Must pass a law enforcement and FBI fingerprint background check.

Starting Hourly Salary Range: Commensurate with experience.
