CITY OF COLUMBIA Maintenance Technician II - 955 (Parks and Rec) Activity and Recreation Center in Columbia, Missouri
**The Maintenance Technician performs maintenance and light construction work at the City of Columbia Parks and Recreations Activity and Recreation Center (ARC). The primary focus of this maintenance technician position will be to conduct routine maintenance and repairs on the ARCs mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. An ideal candidate will have experience related to swimming pools and commercial HVAC systems. During the winter months, when there is inclement weather, this position will assist with snow removal at the ARC. This position also performs other related duties as assigned.
Candidates will be expected to obtain their Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) license within six months of hire so they may perform work to maintain facilitys pool by monitoring pool chemistry and repairing associated equipment.**
**Candidates should possess or obtain a valid Class B Commercial Drivers License within six months of hire, and maintain an excellent driving record.
This position is full-time with benefits with an annual salary range of $46,727 - $57,475 ($22.47 - $27.63 hourly).
Position hours - Sunday, Monday and Tuesday 5:00 am - 1:30 pm and Wednesday and Thursday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, with varying weekend and on-call responsibilities.**
Perform maintenance and construction work at the City of Columbia Parks and Recreation buildings, aquatic facilities, and parks. Conduct routine maintenance on facility HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems and/or perform a variety of construction trades including carpentry, concrete work, roofing, and masonry work.
