Amergis Talent Acquisition Specialist I in Columbia, Maryland

The Talent Acquisition Specialist I supports the branch offices in their efforts to hire internal clinical and operations staff throughout an assigned territory/region. This process includes, but is not limited to, internet recruiting, cold calling, and alternative recruiting strategies. The Talent Acquisition Specialist I works closely to strategically develop and carry out recruitment plans with regional leadership to fill all internal positions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Recruits clinical and non-clinical professionals through various means, including: contacting referrals, searching internet job boards, contacting applicants, reaching out to professional clinical organizations, etc.

  • Thoroughly discusses open positions with candidates, including explanation of job description, office environment, necessary qualifications, etc., and from these conversations determines quality of candidates

  • Develops marketing strategies to attract qualified candidates

  • Partners with hiring managers to staff offices in a timely manner

  • Manages applicant and interview tracking system for region(s)

  • Manages online job postings and requisitions for assigned region(s)

  • Promotes diversity and ensures all managers are compliant with EEOC regulations

  • Reports all hiring-practice concerns to Manager

  • Partners with Recruiting Coordinators to ensure an efficient hiring process

  • Performs other duties as assigned/necessary

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • One to two (1-2) years of previous healthcare recruiting experience preferred

  • Computer proficiency, including MS Office, Internet, and email, required

  • Must be energetic, highly motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to efficiently handle multiple tasks

  • Must demonstrate ability to work well and effectively with others

  • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language may be required
