Insight Global Sr. Systems Project Engineer in Columbia, Maryland
Job Description
Insight Global is seeking to hire a Sr. Systems Project Engineer to support a high-tech international provider of communication and information systems for air traffic management. This position will sit onsite in Columbia, MD and will take ownership of Engineering related deliverables and their technical compliance required by this specific FAA program, sitting on a team of 5-6 junior to mid-level engineers. This individual will take on operations, customer-focused, and management responsibilities 70% of the time and technical, hands-on responsibilities the other 30%. Additional responsibilities include:
- Customize solutions to meet the program needs
- Oversee the integration and deployment of network management software
- Perform risk assessments to identify potential project obstacles
- Mentor junior systems project engineers
- Create, approve, and review technical documentation such as: design drawings, design reviews, system layouts, system configurations, build plans/instructions, roll out strategies.

Skills and Requirements
* 8-10 years of experience in Network Systems Engineering experience
o Communication experience (VOIP/Cisco Unified Communications Manager)
o Integrating, deploying, and supporting integrated hardware and software in the networking and communications space
* 5 years of experience leading project teams
* Experience with Linux OS (RedHat)
* Customer facing experience
* Ability to be processed for a public trust - Bachelors Degree
- FAA or DOD background null
