Multicultural Programs Manager (MPM) Columbia Association Multicultural Programs manager is responsible for the implementation of the Multicultural Programs philosophy, policies, procedures, and operations, exercising responsible professional judgment and technical skill. This position represents an opportunity to collaborate in order to build impact and create more inclusive communities (both virtually and in-person). The Multicultural Program Manager position will work to develop relationships with the vast variety of cultural communities represented in Columbia. They will plan, develop, and implement events and activities related to the Columbia Associations (CA) multicultural mission, while maintaining CAs Sister Cities relationships, and develop and implement local multicultural and exchange programs. The Multicultural Program Manager position will also work closely with CAs Community Engagement and Communication teams in order to create purposeful, engaging, and inclusive community wide events, and use data in order to continuously improve. Therefore, cultural competency, as well as the ability to think and work strategically, is vital in order to have success in this role. This is a challenging position, involving considerable responsibility, complexity and variety, and aims to help position CA as a key partner within our diverse community. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated cultural proficiency with preference for second language skills, and a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging within work, environment and throughout service delivery. Experience in planning, supervising and implementing a wide variety of multicultural programs and the ability to build networks within the community. Bachelors degree from an accredited institution of higher learning in education, language, liberal arts or related fields preferred. Minimum of one year full-time experience in a supervisory or administrative capacity in multicultural or relevant professional experience, including demonstrable experience of working with community-based organizations and planning/delivering successful engagement activities. Experience in planning and coordinating international exchange activities desirable
