Job Title: Accounts Payable Accountant

Job Description

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day controls of receiving, processing, verifying, reconciling vendor invoices. Ensuring the company benefits from all available discount opportunities and ensure timely payment to our vendors. The successful candidate will be a team collaborator assisting with accounts payable processing, general ledger balance management, month-end close, year-end close, and audit support. Key responsibilities include processing accounts payable invoices including purchase order invoices into the accounting ERP, coding, weekly vendor payments in compliance with department and company policies and procedures, reviewing payment requests for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment, researching outstanding checks, working with vendors to identify and resolve issues, uploading positive pay report to the bank and monitoring daily, processing monthly corporate card statement and submitting documentation in accordance with the corporate credit card policy, verifying and investigating discrepancies by reconciling vendor statements, completing month-end accounts payable reconciliation, onboarding and maintaining vendor database, and handling ad-hoc requests as required or assigned.
