Focus on the Family Sr Manager Marketing Operations in Colorado Springs, Colorado

The Sr. Mgr., Marketing Operations position exists to provide application expertise for marketing workflow, corporate asset management, and data segmentation. This position provides leadership for ministry-wide Information Stewardship efforts and works with vendors to optimize systems and processes for internal clients.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develops and recommends marketing application strategy, direction, and solutions in partnership with the Executive Director, Constituent Services and the CMO

  • Develops staff in their areas of focus, especially Salesforce and Marketing Cloud

  • Works closely with other departments throughout the ministry, especially Marketing, Fundraising, and Publishing

  • Partners with FOF IT Senior Management to define and implement systems database integrations

  • Provides advanced client troubleshooting skills, and, if necessary, interfaces with FOF IT and applications technical services to solve technical problems (application failure, system errors reported by users, etc.)

  • Manages vendor relationships

  • Works with the analysts to design training strategies identify the best ways to deliver training

    Marketing Workflow and Asset Management:

  • Acts as application owner of the Productivity Management system, allowing for high volume marketing activity and client transparency throughout the organization

  • Identifies optimum design elements for productivity management by working with the management and staff of Marketing, CRM Communications, Donor Relations, Data Services, and external marketing and fundraising agency personnel as well as other key stakeholders in the ministry

  • Ensures end user satisfaction and collaborates with users to recommend marketing solutions and enhancements. Retains marketing technology best practice trends and translates that knowledge to the ministry’s marketing needs

  • Establishes analytical reporting processes for both Productivity Management and Asset Management

  • Directly supervises the analyst, and architect, to ensure support of ministry marketing activities

    Data Segmentation:

  • Acts as application owner that supports the email, mobile push, social and SMS functionality for ministry digital marketing efforts

  • Develops and recommends marketing application strategy, direction, and solutions in partnership with the Executive Director, Constituent Services and the CMO

  • Directly supervises the Manager, Audience Data Segmentation and team responsible for all audience segmentations for donor, marketing, and ministry campaign efforts

  • Manages the uses of SSMS and Salesforce/Marketing Cloud for data segmentation; designs development plans for each member of the team to attain determined levels of competency in Salesforce/Marketing Cloud within agreed-upon timelines

    Other Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Performs all other duties as assigned

    Managerial Breadth/Scope of Job:

  • Manages the Data Services Manager, MRM Administrator, Source Code Administrator and DAM Administrator

    Working Environment/Physical Requirements:

  • Fast-paced office environment with frequently changing priorities and a high level of interruptions

    Knowledge/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business-related major or equivalent experience

  • 7-10 years of experience in marketing applications and marketing business processes

  • 3-5 years of experience with Salesforce/Marketing Cloud

  • Working knowledge of Focus on the Family’s mission, values, and objectives

  • Working knowledge of entire creative and media production processes

  • Computer proficiency in a variety of Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, and SharePoint)

  • Knowledge of SQL databases, SQL database queries, and Crystal Reports software is desirable

    Pay Range: $83,196 to $95,157/Yr
