SPEAD efforts are focused on Radar, Electro-Optical(EO) and Infrared (IR) sensors in support of space domain awareness(SDA), space protection and security, Electronic Warfare (EW),and missile warning/missile tracking (MW/MT) missions. The selectedcandidate will provide space domain analytical support, algorithmdevelopment and operations-focused software engineering, and modeling andsimulation (M&S) analysis for space surveillance systems, spaceprotection and space threat susceptibility, vulnerability analysis andresiliency assessment to government customers in the area of SDA, spacecontrol, and battle management and C2 (BMC2). Candidate will interactdirectly with government customers as well as Aerospace program officepersonnel in the Colorado Springs area and collaborate closely withEngineering and Technology Group (ETG) and program office personnel in ElSegunWhat You'll Be DoingDemonstrate understanding and knowledge of SDA, BMC2, space control,along with development and use of models for SDA analysisProvide space domain awareness operations-focused algorithm development,evaluation, and M&S support for national security customersLead ETG teams in the development of algorithms and M&S capabilities forSDA, BMC2 and space control mission areasProvide timely and relevant responses to national security customer questionsthrough analysis efforts, and be able to produce high quality presentationswhich translate complex analytic results into simple concepts that can beunderstood at all levelsProvide independent assessments and lead studies with teams of analystsderived from the most capable government/FFRDC/SETA/contractor sourcesWhat You Need to be SuccessfulMinimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, science, computerscience, or other technical disciplineFour or more years of relevant technical experience after a bachelor's degreeDemonstrated experience in modeling, simulation, analysis, and/oralgorithm development for space domain awareness and space security missionsProficiency in one or more of the following computer languages/tools:Java, Python, Matlab, C++/CDemonstrated technical leadership ability, with good interpersonalcommunication and briefing skills along with the ability to work independentlyand interact effectively with high level government, Aerospace, andcontractor personnelThis position requires the ability to obtainand maintaina TS/SCI securityclearance,which is issued by the US government.
