Team (Project) Introduction Identity Access Management (IAM) is divided into two business lines: Identify Services and Access Services. The primary services supported are the Master Person Index, Provisioning, Authorization Management Service, Single Sign-On Internal/ External, Veteran Health Identification Card, and Compliance Auditing Reporting. 9th Way Insignia has an opening for a Security Analyst Senior to work in support of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information and Technology (OIT) on the Identity and Access Management (IAM). This high-profile position serves as Insignia's primary point of contact and leads the day-to-day contract operations, ensuring that the IAM technical scope is delivered within budget, schedule, and quality requirements.

Possess ability to identify key concepts, factors and risks based on conversations and document these in clear and concise narrative or graphic reports. Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed reports documenting security breaches and assess the extent of damage caused by these incidents.

Monitor network traffic to identify potential security breaches and promptly investigate any anomalies.

Install and configure security software tools, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and data encryption programs.

Collaborate with IT teams to ensure robust security measures are in place.

Research and stay informed about the latest developments in information technology security.

Research and implement cutting-edge technologies to protect sensitive data and systems.

Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures.

Create a comprehensive security plan that aligns with industry best practices.

Conduct regular simulated cyber-attacks to identify vulnerabilities in computer systems.

Address and remediate any weaknesses before external threats exploit them.

Advise managers and senior executives on security advancements and risk mitigation strategies.

Assist colleagues in installing new software and educate them on security protocols.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, project management, or related field.

5+ years of proven experience.

Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to issue resolution.

E fective communication skills, both written and verbal, for conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Knowledge of network protocols, security frameworks, and risk assessment methodologies.
