Due to rapid growth, Oracle GDI – Government, Defense & Intelligence, is hiring a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect supporting Space Force to be the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction.
The following component Space Force agencies will be covered: Space Systems Command, Space Operations Command, Space Training and Readiness Command, and Assured Access to Space, United States Space Command.
This role seeks a candidate looking for a dynamic technical environment with unlimited growth. Those who excel in this role are motivated self-starters who love to solve challenging problems, feel comfortable working directly with customers, and have an insatiable curiosity about what “is possible” with cloud technology.
This is a hybrid position that involves a combination of in-office work, time at the client site, and remote work based on demand .

Responsibilities
What you will do (Responsibilities)
You have solid experience and a passion for cloud concepts, system integration, and cloud migrations that can support customer facing engagements along with a number of internal Oracle sales efforts.
Responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in the development and strategic direction of new solutions, products, and processes.
Works directly with customers to execute discovery, requirements gathering, architecture development and implementation.
Translates complex technical requirements into solutions.
Contributes to solution implementation to ensure successful deployments.
Serves as an acknowledged authority for customers and sales on technical cloud solutions and customer success.
Identifies gaps and enhancements to influence engineering roadmaps for customer driven features.
Maintains expertise by staying current on emerging technologies.
Project management
Solving technical problems with customers in technical environments;
Writes technical approaches for RFPs, RFIs, Market Surveys
Presents and demonstrates technical solutions to customers
Needs analysis, positioning, and business justification.
8+ years’ experience and expertise in the clear communication of technical information to others through presentations, demonstrations, written communication and consultative solutioning experience
Travel up to 25% may be needed.
Required:
Experience with cloud data platform architecture and migration
Experience with development frameworks, and API integration within cloud environments
Experience with networking technologies (Software-defined Networking, Routing, DNS, Load balancing) within cloud environments
Experience with automated data pipelines for batch ETL, data streaming, or change data capture within cloud environments
Experience unifying disparate sources of data through cloud data integration within cloud environments
Experience with cloud native development solutions to build CI/CD pipelines and deploy applications to container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
Experience with analytics and visualization to produce mission insights within cloud environments
Experience monitoring performance of infrastructure through use of monitoring tools and enabling alerts within cloud environments
Experience presenting, producing, pricing, and delivering cloud architectures
Must possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance required (poly preferred)
Preferred, but not required :
- Solution Architect and/or Developer Certification on Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only
US: Hiring Range in USD from: $141,800 to $232,200 per annum. May be eligible for equity and compensation deferral. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 70/30.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
