Position Overview
Provide operational security support and monitor physical security.
Primary Responsibilities
Must be available to work Sun-Thu from 9:30 PM to 5:30 AM from 26 November through 1 January 2025 with the exception of Federal Holidays
Must be available to work on-call for full 8-hour shift/s, may be during normal business hours (days), swing and/or midnight shifts. Day shift from 6:30 AM to 1:30 PM, swing shift from 1:30 PM to 9:30 PM, or midnight shift from 9:30 PM to 5:30 AM
Account for personnel who are authorized entry into building, accounting for approximately 1000 visitors per month
Maintain a safe and secure facility by performing random ID verification of permanent employees, 100% ID verification of visitors and random baggage searches (if directed) of all personnel entering the facility
If working a swing or midnight shift, conduct a minimum of six exterior perimeter walks between the hours of 6:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m., verifying the security of all exterior doors and gates
Conduct a minimum of six interior perimeter walks daily, verifying the security of all interior doors and proper storage of classified materials
Monitor the temperature alarm system(s) and verify the operation of the cooling systems ensuring Internally Controlled Areas (ICA’s) are properly temperature controlled
Utilize coded alarm systems, video surveillance equipment, and Automated Entry Control System equipment to ensure only authorized personnel gain access to the facility
Monitor the operation of Info Graphics Intrusion Alarm Systems and Access Entry Control Systems
Participate in paid monthly training and badge check verification on alarmed spaces
Verify all personnel entering the facility are authorized to do so by verifying a current Visit Authorization Request (VAR) is in place or personnel possess appropriate access badges
Enter data, query visit control databases, and provide assistance in the location of assigned personnel through the use of automated systems and applications
Report all equipment, facility, and software application problems to Government clients for expedient resolution
Open the security office safe to sign out classified keys to building personnel and access/apply classified codes in the execution of your daily duties
Must obtain and maintain proficiency to independently carry out all assigned duties according to pre-established protocol
Must use digital computing applications to enter requisite data into security and pass-down logs
Support the badge handout and escort for meeting attendees
Minimum Qualifications
Must have prior customer service experience
Must be capable of working on a small team or independently
Proficiency in MS Office products and use of digital computing communications
Must have valid driver’s license, automobile insurance and reliable transportation.
Must be available to work the following shifts:
Sat/Sun swing shift: 1:30 PM - 9:30 PM (6 October - 25 November)
Midnight shift: 9:30 PM - 5:30 AM ( 24 October - 31 October)
Midnight shift: 9:30 PM - 5:30 AM ( 26 November - 1 January 2025)
Sat/Sun swing shift: 1:30 PM - 9:30 PM ( 5 January - 24 February 2025)

Education/Experience
High school diploma
1-2 years relevant and applicable experience
