Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Network Engineer - HBSS Administrator to join our team at Peterson AFB in Colorado.
The IAFNOS contract includes supporting day-to-day operational issues, ensuring systems are operational and fully capable. Team members provide technical support to the AF Network Integration Center (AFNIC) and Program Management Office (PMO) fielding activities. They monitor, assess and respond to real-time network events, and take appropriate response action to ensure military personnel are supported 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Deploying, managing, troubleshooting and providing technical solutions for the Host Base Security System (HBSS) agent and end point products for all AF clients.
Conducting and managing HBSS operations for securing AF client systems to include scanning, patching and remediating AFIN devices and systems.
Configuring, monitoring, operating, managing and maintaining HBSS point products (Anti-Virus (AV), Host Intrusion Prevention System (HIPS), Policy Auditor, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) products), Agent Handler, ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO), Super Agent Distributed Repository (SADR) servers, SQL management software, and all associated firewalls and server configurations.
Developing draft TOs, SOPs, checklists, guides, best practices and procedures.
Automating procedures using scripts and SQL/database administration.
Providing reports to bases to remediate expired AV signatures.
Bringing systems into compliance with security policies.
Administering HBSS SQL database.
Using ePO, SADR servers, and the HBSS to scan, patch and remediate NIPRNet and SIPRNet devices and systems.
Taking immediate action to avert suspected security intrusions or violations utilizing vulnerability management tools.
Distributing DLP reports to bases for resolution.
Ensuring compliance with approved security updates, patches, baselines, associated orders, and network defense directives for all AFIN infrastructure and devices to include testing, coordinating, implementing, tracking all AFIN infrastructure and devices.
Providing network engineering support.
Providing expertise in the operations and maintenance of the AFIN boundary devices, vulnerability management systems, and end point protection.
Supporting the ESU's directory services, messaging, collaboration, and monitoring activities.
Defining and analyzing system requirements and developing specifications.
Directing the implementation of patch management.
Supporting the development of procedures and checklists.
Potentially be involved in: engineering studies and client/server or Internet/intranet applications, messaging, systems engineering, systems integration, network monitoring and infrastructure support.
May perform storage and virtualization engineering support.
Work assigned shift (5 consecutive days, 8 hours each, 40 hours per week) and must be flexible to rotate to another shift if needed.
Must be a U.S. Citizen with an Active DoD Secret Security clearance or Higher.
Must have a Security+ Certification or other 8570, IAT II satisfying certification.
Must have 3-5 years of directly related experience.

Security Clearance Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of a Secret Security Clearance.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
The projected compensation range for this position is $57,000-$95,000. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, ManTech invests in it’s employees beyond just compensation.
