Description:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.

  • Practice and promote safety in such way as including but not limited to; assessing risks before starting tasks, only performing authorized activities, utilizing appropriate PPE.

  • Exercise and encourage core values including but not limited to; developing self and coaching others by inspiration and empowerment

  • Follow all Safety rules, work instructions and procedures. Maintain adherence to AFR policy, A-Cert, ISO, and MSHA certifications. Ensure compliance with permitted and internal requirements at all times

  • Properly receive, unload and store alternative materials while respecting safety and quality standards

  • Ensure all equipment inspections are performed (shift, daily, weekly, monthly, etc…) and documented as required

  • Responsible for submitting information regarding inbound loads to appropriate LH/Geocycle personnel in a timely manner

  • Ensure timely reporting and correction of co-processing and maintenance issues. Notify Facility Supervisor of any downtime (Via text, call, or Radio)

  • Ensure all mobile equipment safety inspections are performed prior to equipment use. Ensure all appropriate safety inspections are completed and documented

  • Maintain a high housekeeping standard around the alternative material storing and co-processing areas

  • Assist in repairs (Guards, breakdowns, etc….) as needed

  • Ability to back trailers in tight spots.

RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER JOBS

  • Mechanical Skills/Abilities a plus

  • Ability to organize materials and people to ensure multiple stakeholders‘ needs are met

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED

Required Education: High School diploma/GED

Required Work Experience: 2 years heavy industry experience/material handling

Required Computer and Software Skills :

  • Basic Windows Computer Skills

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to work nights and weekend rotation

  • Good communication skills

  • Strong ability to work self-directed

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and sound decision making based upon available information

  • Flexible, able to adjust to changing priorities and propose improvement actions

  • Able to facilitate the collaboration of people in assigned area

  • Initiative and self-starting abilities; willing to take action to resolve problems

  • Set and possess high work standards

  • Customer focused, both internally and externally
