Primary Purpose

This is a “forward-facing” position that interacts heavily with supervisors, employees, and applicants by performing routine administrative guidance and support regarding human resource processes. This role provides administrative support to the HR Team as needed, including talent selection processes, recordkeeping, reporting, job descriptions, HRIS transactions, unemployment responses, document creation, and resignation management. Assists with providing basic information in response to tier one employee inquiries.

Essential Functions

  • With the Director of Human Resources’ guidance, timely and accurately records or enters information on performance management, terminations, leave of absences, per diems, and corrective action issues.

  • Facilitates administration of human resources programs, reporting, policies, and procedures by communicating as appropriate with managers and employees. Builds productive relationships, both internally and externally, and at all levels in the organization.

  • Maintains thorough employment records in personnel files via the HRIS. Files documents into appropriate digital employee files. Owns employee self-service and manager self-service.

  • Supports employee relation functions by answering basic employee requests and questions. Responsible for tier one employee inquiries and support.

  • Assists with processing of terminations and owns the exit interview process.

  • Escalates sensitive issues that may require immediate attention and resolution; makes recommendations relative to issue resolution. Notifies the Director of Human Resources promptly and fully of all problems or unusual matters of significance.

  • Coordinates HR Team events and programs including birthdays, anniversaries, and other employee recognition programs.

  • Assists with the preparation and coordination of the performance review process. Supports supervisors in implementing performance management procedures.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.

2 related prior work experience in human resources, organization policies, applicable laws, procedures, and processes.

  • Occasional travel may be required. 10%.

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Proficient understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.

  • Demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Valid Driver’s License, required

  • Professional in Human Resources Certification, preferred.

Salary Range

$45,000.00 – $85,000.00 / year

Pay Transparency Statement

At United Site Services, our salary ranges reflect the minimum and maximum base pay for the posted position applicable to all locations across the US. Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job related skills, experience, education, and certifications. Our total compensation package includes base pay plus a comprehensive benefits program.
