Summary Description: The Finance Systems Data Analyst (FSDA) works within a cross-functional team to analyze business processes and systems in the Finance space, designing and implementing automated solutions to support Finance's critical functions. The FSDA loves data and has a passion for transforming data into usable information. The FSDA also administrates and supports enterprise software systems including training, documentation, configuration, and system upgrades.

Anticipated Salary Range: $55,000 to $65,691 per year

Responsibilities:

Help assess finance business needs and provide technical recommendations that augment and enhance productivity, efficiency and effectiveness and assist in and/or lead implementation. Assist users with change and adoption efforts. Build and maintain positive, constructive partnering relationships with business units and have a deep understanding of their work environment, strategic goals, and data systems. Translate data into simplified and summarized information to assist academic and administrative departments in making informed decisions. Coordinate and prioritize reporting initiatives; develop, deliver, and maintain complex reports for the Finance department and the greater campus community. Assist with periodic maintenance, system upgrades and training for all Finance functions within the college ERP system. Design and enforce policies, procedures and systems to safeguard organization financial information against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure.

Additional Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in finance, computer science, information technology, or related fields, plus a minimum of two years of directly related technical experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience; extensive knowledge of ERP database systems and functional user solution support across multiple modules; knowledge of relational database and client-server concepts; experience implementing new software and managing projects with diverse stakeholders; experience using report writing tools to create complex reports; experience in writing and debugging Structured Query Language (SQL) scripts. Proficient with MS Office Suite; excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and develop positive relationships with people from different cultural backgrounds; excellent decision making, critical thinking, organizational and time management skills; good judgment and ability to handle confidential/sensitive information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree; experience with Cognos reporting software and in using/implementing ERP systems in higher education, preferably Banner, functional solution support experience in one or ore of the following: Finance, Human Resources or Student Accounts Receivables modules within Banner; ODS database warehouse and Oracle PS/SQL experience.
