UCHealth Exercise Physiologist II in COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado

Location: UCHealth UCHlth Memorial Hospital North, US:CO:Colorado Springs

Department: Cardiology

FTE: Part Time, 0.5, 40.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Flex

Pay: $22.14 - $28.78 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary:

Develops exercise prescription, oversees exercise progression/ability of patients, and/or performs diagnostic tests independent of supervision. Makes recommendations to improve programs, products, processes, or services.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs responsibilities of underlying job(s) and is able to assist precept new hires and/or student interns.

  • Assist with the development, implementation, and evaluation of departmental programs including administrative duties as directed.

  • Perform in all departmental specialties and patient populations.

  • Performs scanning/interpretation for monitors as indicated at position level.

  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

  • Other information:

Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science or related field. Preferred: Master's degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science or related field.

Required Licensure/ Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. Relevant certification as determined at position level.

Minimum Experience: 6 months of relevant experience.

ADDITIONAL POSITION LEVEL REQUIREMENTS: Certification to include ONE of the following: Advanced Cardiac Life Support; Clinical Exercise Physiologist; Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional; Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist; Pulmonary Disease Educator Course; Certified Cancer Exercise Trainer; Pulmonary Rehabilitation Certificate; Exercise is Medicine : Certified Cardiographic Technician; Certified Special Population Specialist; Autism Exercise Specialist; Certified Medical Exercise Specialist; Exercise Physiologist Certified; Tobacco Treatment Specialist.

  • IF APPLICABLE: BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
