Salary Range: Generally starting at $105,000 - $108,000 per year. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This position is Exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.
Work Location: The position is predominately remote, with the ability to work on campus as the need would arise.

Summary
This is a 12-month faculty position for instruction in the graduate programs (MSN and DNP) and includes didactic teaching predominately in our psych mental health NP online program. This is a position with 40% teaching (20 credits), 20% research/scholarship, 20% practice, and 20% service, with a projected start date of January 2025. This position may also incorporate learning within the Simulation Learning Center.
Essential Functions
The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
Plans and develops course syllabus and class schedules.
Participates as member of the department representing the course and assigned content areas.
Collaborates with the Clinical Practicum Coordinator in determining sites and preceptors.
Completes site visits.
Engage in an active program of research/scholarship.
Maintain clinical advanced practice nursing and academic expertise.
Participates in curriculum development and evaluation.
Communicates with appropriate Option Coordinators to provide verbal and written documentation related to critical course and student issues.
Maintains lines of communication with department and college staff for effective course program implementation.
Implements University, college, and departmental policies as appropriate to the course.
Participates in the identification of critical content and essential competencies for assigned course.
Collaborates to facilitate team approach to course implementation.
Maintains oversight for textbook selection, course measurement, and evaluation strategies.
Posts course grades in a timely manner consistent with university policy.
Tentative Search Timeline

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Doctorate degree in nursing or related field (DNP or PhD), conferred by the date of hire.
Master of Science degree in Nursing (if non-nursing terminal degree).
Current unrestricted RN and APRN licensure with prescriptive authority in the State of Colorado or eligible to obtain prior to start of employment.
Current national, advanced practice certification as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.
Preferred Qualifications
Five years of practice experience as an APRN.
Three years of teaching/precepting experience in higher education.
Online learning/teaching experience.
Established record of scholarship.
Established record of service.
Physical Requirements
While performing duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk. Employee is occasionally required to have long periods of sitting, moderate bending, moderate energy requirements and fine motor skills. Talking and hearing within normal range. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
