Consider CAES. #peoplefocusedmissiondrivenA career with CAES is more than just a job, it is the pathway to a brightfuture.OverviewUnder limited supervision and with an emphasis on safety and CAES values,perform a variety of manual assembly tasks, from periodic to frequent, andfrom simple to complex, related to the assembly and inspection of electroniccircuit card assemblies and the next level hardware.Primary activities include hand-soldering Surface Mount Technology (SMT)components, installing, removing and replacing thru-hole componentswithout board damage, soldering wires and cables and identifying assemblyand documentation issues. A high level of dexterity is required to manipulateand position extremely small (.020 x .020) devices using hand tools suchas hand soldering irons, tweezers and hot air re-flow equipment. Assemblyknowledge and skill level must meet or exceed IPC and NASA standards for spacegrade circuit card assembly.ResponsibilitiesHand soldering and mechanical assemblyUse of a microscope while performing soldering work for extended periodsMicro soldering Integrated Circuit (IC) chips and other SMT componentsusing hand-soldering irons and hot air reflow equipmentAdvance soldering rework skills of printed wiring boards.Perform SMT rework, removing and replacing SMT components without damage,while inspecting operations to ensure quality of product.Perform rework/repair of internal product to ensure Printed Circuit Boards(PCB) are reworked to the required customer and industry standards.Interact with Production Control, Quality, and Engineering on a daily basisAble to assemble and inspect circuit card assemblies with the aid of amicroscope (training on site)Read and comprehend complex work instructions, drawings and parts listsSimple equipment maintenance and upkeep tasksQualificationsMinimum:High School diploma or accredited GED2+ years' experienceHand soldering and mechanical assembly experienceMust be able to work in a dynamic and constantly changing environmentMust have flexibility in work hours, limited overtime as neededGood communication skills, both written and verbalVery good eye-hand coordinationThis position may require visual acuity testing, to include but not limitedto near vision and normal color vision testing on an ongoing basisPreferred:Training to industry standards (IPC, J-Std, NASA, etc)Previous/Active certifications and experience with NASA 8739 and/orJ-STD-001 Space AddendumFamiliarity with industry-standard adhesives and bonding highly desiredProficient in the full suite of Microsoft Office products - Excel, Word,Visio, Power Point, ProjectSalary Range: $18.00 - $20.75 per hour.
