Description of Duties:

The Business Operations Manager supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:

· Be a member of a fast-paced, high-performing team and will provide strong leadership and contract acumen for the Information Technology Service Delivery (ITSD) division.

· Be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the Business Office.

· Have administrative responsibilities over Task Order (TO) 8003 and Task Order (TO) 8700. business related tasks, including proposal development and control account management.

· Control Account Management consists of forecasting, developing Variance Analysis Report (VAR) language, and estimates at complete (EAC) for reporting Earned Value Management (EVM) to the customer.

· Analyze current business processes and provides recommendations for improvements for IT services and capabilities delivery.

· Will report to the Business Manager.

· Oversee the ITSD Proposal Team's daily activities, ensuring that proposal artifacts associated with Technical Direction Letters (TDLs) are developed and delivered to meet critical suspense dates.

· Support the development of standardized tasks.

· Work with Business Manager to develop/set strategic goals, determine actions, and mobilize resources to execute actions to achieve goals.

· Work with Business Manager to identify and mitigate risks to TO8003 budget and resources.

· Work with Business Manager to oversee the development of appropriate metrics to ensure Task Orders are on track.

· Manage day to day activities of a team of approximately five (5) people including time- card management, training plan development, workload assignments, performance evaluations, and other management duties as needed.

This position can be filled at Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO or Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL.

This position is expected to pay $119,000 - $144,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

Here’s what you’ll need :

Basic Requirements:

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 14 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 12 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of general experience; Master’s degree and 8 years of general experience.

· Must have 8 years of directly related experience

· Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a management or leadership roles

· Minimum of 2 years of Proposal Development

· Must have experience supporting the IRES contract

· Demonstrate a strong understanding of business and contractual processes

· Communicate clearly both verbally and over e-mail to senior level leaders

· Lead teams, liaise with different levels of contractor and government management, be collaborative and encourage collaboration.

· Negotiate, think analytically and solve problems

· Work under pressure, handle stress and have the ability to adapt to change

· Understand basic Information Technology (IT) requirements

· Use Microsoft Office with prophecies

· Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher

Desired Requirements:

· Working knowledge of Project Management

· Working knowledge of Earned Value Management

· Working knowledge of Control Account Management

· Working knowledge of Process Development

· Data Analysis and Strategic Planning skills
