Loving Hands Child Care Center Assistant Director - Child Care Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Position Overview:

The Assistant Director of the Child Care Center plays a pivotal role in assisting the Director with the overall management, operations, and administration of the center. The Assistant Director collaborates closely with the Director to ensure the highest standards of care, education, and safety for children, staff, and families.

Responsibilities: -Collaborate with the Director in overseeing all aspects of the center's daily operations, including curriculum implementation, staff supervision, and facility management. - Assist in developing and implementing age-appropriate educational programs and curricula that align with the center's philosophy and state regulations. - Support staff recruitment, training, and professional development, including orientation for new hires. - Provide leadership and guidance to teachers and staff, promoting a positive work environment and fostering a strong sense of teamwork. - Collaborate with families to build and maintain positive relationships, addressing concerns, and ensuring open communication. - Assist with enrollment, registration, and maintaining accurate records for children attending the center. - Monitor and maintain compliance with state licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and other relevant guidelines. - Contribute to creating a safe and engaging environment for children, ensuring that health and safety protocols are followed. - Participate in parent communication and engagement initiatives, such as parent meetings, newsletters, and events. - Oversee administrative tasks, including record-keeping, budgeting, and reporting. - Assume leadership responsibilities in the Director's absence, making informed decisions and resolving issues as needed. - Stay up-to-date with trends and developments in early childhood education and child care management.

Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). - Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a leadership role in a child care center or early childhood education setting. -Level 3 in PDIS - Strong understanding of child development principles, curriculum planning, and best practices in early childhood education. - Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. - Knowledge of state licensing regulations and requirements for child care centers. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and childcare management software. - CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). - Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with staff, families, and community partners.
