What are your contributions to the team?
Be responsible for painting aircraft parts and sub-assemblies.
Prepare surfaces to be painted by sanding, steaming, cleaning and recoating as required.
Coat the area of parts as required by painting or stripping with appropriate materials.
Prepare and operate paint application facilities and equipment.
Select and mix appropriate paint according to manufacturer's specifications to meet job requirements.
Set up and use spray gun for proper application of paints as required.
Assist and/or train others, as needed, in the performance of their duties.
Care for and maintain paint application equipment in good repair.
Maintain order and cleanliness, under the 5's methodology.
How to thrive in this role?
You have a minimum of 3 years of related painting experience in the aerospace or automotive field.
You hold experience with standard painting equipment: paint guns, sanding equipment, double action orbital sander and common hand tools.
You have a high school or technical degree.
You hold knowledge of applicable manufacturer's standards and company procedures governing the care and treatment of aluminum.
You have the ability to wear a respirator and related Personal Protection Equipment.
You have the ability to work from drawings or printed instructions, including application and masking areas.
You have flexibility in the work area to manage priorities according to production schedules.
You have the ability to communicate directly and openly with the team leader and operations leader.
