DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Psychological Services Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing and facilitating the psychological component of the rehabilitation and social development of court committed adjudicated delinquent residents in the Youth Development Center and Youth Forestry Camp (YDC/YFC) system. You will also provide consultation to supervisory and counseling staff and serve as a key member of the clinical team in accordance with the Department of Human Services (DHS), Office of Children Youth and Families (OCYF), Bureau of Juvenile Justice Services BJJS), and agency policies.

A Psychological Services Specialist, Department of Human Services (PSS, DHS) demonstrates a high degree of skill and knowledge in the field of counseling and psychotherapy. In this role, you will be responsible for PSS services in one or more of programs at the Southeast Youth Development Center.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment (7.5-hour work day) Hours of work include (4) shifts of 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and (1) shift of 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday - Friday. Shift work: Yes Travel: As needed Overtime: As Needed May change based on operation needs. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A master's degree in a behavioral science, counseling education, rehabilitation, human development or a closely related field. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
