GSC R&D Engineering Services provides Facilities Management and Capital Projects delivery for Technical R&D sites within GSC's Engineering and EHS organization.

This role will provide ongoing technical support to Operations, responsible for Facilities Services and Capital Projects delivery. This will include the development and improvement of processes that support the operational delivery model and interfaces with other GSK functions, service partners and other 3rd party providers.

The purpose of this role is to manage Operational Technology (OT) across R&D Engineering Services managed sites within the Americas and mitigate the risk of business impact from cyber threats. The role will also manage control/automation systems, inclusive of Life Cycle Asset Management and strategic changes with the BMS systems. The role will also provide governance of service partners who operate R&D Engineering Systems owned automation systems to ensure they are operating systems to mitigate OT security risks. This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following Serve as R&D Engineering Service's Responsible Person for automation systems and OT security at sites in responsible region.  Duties to include, but not be limited to: Liaise with the Global Lead OT Security and Automation and Service Partner personnel in completing gap assessments, mitigation planning, audit support, cyber security threat assessment and response to cybersecurity alerts within the region. Stay abreast of external/industry trends to advise and translate impacts of emerging changes to R&D Engineering Services; interpret legal and GSK requirements for local operation and advise management on achieving compliance. Act as the OT network technical authority for R&D Engineering Services owned systems. To act as an advocate for OT Cybersecurity, whilst enabling R&D Engineering Services to exploit beneficial technologies. Approve change controls associated with significant automation system changes. Owning OT device registration through appropriate repository. Govern Service Partner activities in support of responsible systems including access management, alarm management, application patching, antivirus scanning, and system configuration management. Manage automation system standards, complete Life Cycle Assessment reviews of hardware and software and provide an interface with capital projects and the maintenance teams. Initiate capital projects and site minor works projects as required to manage risks associated with OT and automation life cycle asset management, and govern projects. OT security risk management - Having an oversight of the risk matrix for the region with a view to help reduce risks to an acceptable level, and then maintain said level. Review and maintain service level support contracts with service partners, automation systems integrators and control system OEM vendors. Support network segmentation and firewall rule creation, application and modification. Coordinate activities of responsible systems with impacted customer groups with the target of maximizing utility of installed systems for GSK. Ensure that all projects and changes at the region comply with the GSK OT Security standards, guidance, processes, and procedures. Technical engineering representative on capital projects to ensure projects are designed and delivered in accordance with external and internal GSK OT Security standards/Engineering Standards/EHS standards. Manage "ad-hoc" business projects as required. Maintain GSK ethics and compliance values, even when potential conflict or risk exists.

Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: Bachelor degree in the science or engineering fields 3+ years of OT (NIST framework / IEC62443) and industrial automation systems (Building Management System/PLC/HMI/Power Monitoring, SCADA) 3+ years of experience working within Automation or Operations at life science Manufacturing and/or R&D sites in a regulated industry (exposed to GxP & EHS requirements) Experience working with Operations

Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Acts as a role model for applying standards to ensure compliance Exposure to IT/OT infrastructure with Microsoft HyperV Server, Cisco Network, NIST cybersecurity framework and cybersecurity risk reduction Effective communication skills with the ability to interface with operational, capital projects and senior management within the organization. Broad knowledge and practical experience of computer and application in an FDA regulated environment Working knowledge and understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices including Good Documentation Practices and change control Capable of working in multi-disciplinary teams across engineering projects, new product introduction and technology projects. Excellent written and oral communication skills
