Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Research Technician II- Stillman Laboratory in Cold Spring Harbor, New York
- Position Description
Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, located on the North Shore of Long Island, is currently accepting applications for a Research Technician position in the Stillman Laboratory. The successful candidate will participate in basic research in the area of cancer biology. Research will involve applying standard molecular biology techniques as well as protein biochemistry and cell biology approaches to understand the basic molecular mechanisms underlying cancer.
- Position Requirements
Education: A Master's degree in a scientific discipline is preferred with preferably two to three years' experience in a biological laboratory.
Skills and Experience: Experience with basic molecular and cellular biology techniques (e.g., PCR, plasmid preparation, western-blot analysis, microscopy, tissue culture, and RNA and DNA isolation) or experience with protein biochemistry and genomic analysis would be advantageous.
The candidate must also have excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to work well with others on shared projects.

The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining a base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., years of relevant experience, education, credentials, and internal equity).
