Housekeeping Level 1 - Colby, WI

This is a full-time, hourly position.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Work cooperatively in a team environment, accept and follow directions.

  2. Follow time and attendance guidelines in accordance with the employee handbook.

  3. Able to stand for long periods and climb stairs frequently throughout shift.

  4. Occasionally lift and / or carry up to 25 pounds individually or up to 50 pounds with assistance.

  5. Ability to squat and bend frequently while lifting up to 25 pounds during shift.

  6. Capable of safely operating all sanitation equipment and performing all general labor duties.

  7. Tolerant of very warm seasonal temperatures and occasional refrigerated/frozen cold temperatures

QUALITY CONTROL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Appreciation for cleanliness and sanitation, keeping work area clean and organized.

  2. Knowledge of and ability to follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

  3. Awareness of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and its importance.

  4. Follow all Safe Quality Food (SQF) guidelines.

  5. Maintain excellent personal hygiene and wear appropriate apparel for the job.

  6. Report any suspicious activity related to food defense.

NOTE : Required to report food safety problems or concerns immediately to a person with authority to initiate action as indicated on the organizational chart.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

  1. Be aware of and follow up to date OSHA regulations that apply to the tasks in your job.

  2. Practice safe lifting techniques, bending and lifting with your legs not your back.

  3. Pivot with your feet avoiding twisting at the waist.

  4. Be aware of your surroundings, watching for forklift traffic and trip hazards such as pallets or cords.

  5. Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the job you are doing.

  6. Maintain proper guards and safety devices when working with machinery and on catwalks.

  7. Never operate equipment for which you have not been properly trained or certified for.

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS

  1. High School Diploma or Equivalent

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Perform general cleaning and sanitation of support areas (locker rooms, break rooms, bathrooms, lab, etc.).Realizar la limpieza y saneamiento general de las áreas de apoyo (vestuarios, salas de descanso, baños, laboratorio, etc.).

  2. Follow all Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs)

  3. Wash and sanitize food contact equipment in accordance with SSOPs, including all line dishes.

  4. Conduct chemical concentration tests on cleaning and sanitizing solutions.

  5. Complete sanitation tasks and paperwork

  6. Attend all chemical safety trainings.

  7. Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
