Job Description:
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Bartender to join our dynamic team at the Lobby Bar of Coeur d'Alene Resort. The ideal candidate will be passionate about mixology, possess exceptional customer service skills, and thrive in a fast-paced, upscale environment. As a Bartender, you will play a pivotal role in creating memorable experiences for our guests by crafting exquisite cocktails, providing personalized service, and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
Mixology Expertise: Prepare and serve a diverse range of cocktails, beverages, and specialty drinks with precision and creativity, adhering to established recipes and standards of quality.
Customer Service: Interact with guests in a friendly, engaging manner, providing recommendations, taking orders, and ensuring their overall satisfaction. Anticipate guests' needs and exceed their expectations through attentive service.
Bar Operations: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including stocking supplies, cleaning equipment, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed to replenish stock.
Menu Development: Collaborate with management to develop innovative drink menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients, trends, and guest preferences. Contribute ideas for promotions, events, and special offerings to enhance the guest experience.
Teamwork: Work closely with other members of the bar and restaurant staff to provide seamless service and create a cohesive team environment. Support colleagues during busy periods and contribute to a positive work culture.
Upselling and Revenue Generation: Utilize product knowledge and sales techniques to upsell premium beverages, promote specials, and maximize revenue opportunities while maintaining integrity and professionalism.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of bartending experience in a high-volume, upscale establishment, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional service and customer satisfaction.
Mixology Skills: Proficiency in preparing a wide variety of cocktails, spirits, and beverages, with a strong understanding of flavor profiles, techniques, and presentation.
Customer Focus: Dedication to providing outstanding hospitality, with excellent communication skills, attentiveness, and the ability to build rapport with guests.
Team Player: Collaborative attitude with a willingness to support colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Certifications: TIPS or equivalent responsible alcohol service certification preferred.
