We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Director of Catering Sales to join our team. This role is pivotal in driving our catering sales strategy, managing social and wedding events, and ensuring financial success through meticulous forecasting and budgeting. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement innovative catering sales strategies to maximize revenue and market share.

  • Event Management: Oversee the planning and execution of social and wedding events, ensuring each occasion is flawlessly executed and exceeds client expectations.

  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing personalized solutions.

  • Forecasting & Budgeting: Prepare accurate sales forecasts and budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire the catering sales team to achieve and surpass sales targets.

  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including marketing, operations, and culinary, to ensure seamless event execution.

  • Brand Ambassador: Uphold the hotel’s brand standards and promote our unique lifestyle experience.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Proven experience in catering sales, preferably in a luxury or lifestyle hotel setting.

  • Strong understanding of event planning, particularly social and wedding events.

  • Excellent financial acumen with experience in forecasting and budgeting.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Creative thinker with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player. Thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, proper preparation and presentation of foods and beverage items. Ability to prepare signage for catering functions. Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise move goods weighing a maximum of 20 lbs. on an occasional basis. Ability to create special themes and menus. Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
