The Role at a glance:
We are looking to add an experienced, motivated Catering Production Manager to our Trio Community Meals team in Cocoa, FL. As a Catering Production Manager, you will have the opportunity to plan and produce catered events and ensure the success of a variety of catered events.
What you'll be doing:
Training and supervising cooks on food preparation, safety, and sanitation.
Participating in the preparation of meals and beverages.
Ensuring adherence to safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
Addressing client and guest needs and concerns.
Maintaining inventory and ordering of food and supplies for events.
Planning: Developing menus, service packages, and event schedules.
Setting up events (buffet lines, tablecloths, chaffing racks, table decorations, etc.).
Serving: Directing staff, managing costs, and ensuring food is served on time.
Managing: Overseeing kitchen staff, equipment, and storage, and maintaining safety standards.
Communicating: Discussing culinary options with clients, interacting with staff and guests, and representing the kitchen to external stakeholders.
Creating catering invoices, pricing events, handling event bookings.
In Meals on Wheels kitchen during downtime, assisting with daily meal preparation and production.
What we're looking for:
Must-haves:
At least three years’ experience in foodservice and/or hospitality.
Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
Nice-to-haves:
- At least one years’ experience in a supervisory or management role.
Compensation:
The salary is $55k/yr.
