Salary/Wages: $15 - $17 hourly (No more than 20 hours per week)
Organizational Overview
Thistle Hills is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization committed to providing holistic healing and empowerment for survivors of trafficking (commercial sexual exploitation) and addiction so they can transform their lives in a safe, supportive, loving residential environment. The program model addresses the physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual needs of each resident. Our staff and volunteers assist the women on their journey by providing ongoing treatments, educational tools, and case management to successfully matriculate through the four-phased process.
Position Overview
The Assistant Program Manager works with the Program/House Manager in fulfilling administrative tasks related to the client relationship management system (tracking), maintaining complete client records, responding to email and telephone requests/inquiries and other tasks as requested by the Program/House Manager. The Assistant Program Manager may also work with the Program/House Manager in providing oversight for Support Specialists.
The Associate Program Manager will work directly with residents to help them overcome and manage different mental and emotional challenges. You will aid in helping them fight back against the disease of addiction and aid in recovery, as you support and implement effective techniques while making a difference in the lives of women who have been trafficked. The Assistant Program Manager will assist our residents with daily living activities, lead them in educational and recreational activities, and transport/accompany them to 12 step meetings, examinations and/or treatments. The Assistant Program Manager delivers direct, individual client care.
Duties and Responsibilities
? Assists Program/House Manager in maintaining client relationship management system and appropriate files.
? Educate residents on stress, trauma, coping mechanisms, life skills development, social skills etc. by leading a regular group.
? Provide individuals with the resources they need to reach personal goals.
? Coordinate with social and medical agencies, healthcare providers and community outreach programs to provide residents with needed services.
? Co-facilitate and facilitate weekly in-home meetings with house residents to coordinate programming groups, plan for activities, review the upcoming weekly schedule, address conflict, and encourage and support growth as a community.
? Work closely with Program/ House Manager when needed to discuss resident needs or overall residential program issues, evaluation, and/or development
? Oversee daily activities in residence including chore completion, maintaining supplies and grocery list and take action to resolve issues
? Be on-call at specified times for emergency situations.
Resident Care
? Be aware of all residents during shift hours.
? Conduct routine work in the care, custody, and supervision of our residents
? Listen to residents in a non-judgmental manner and direct them to Clinicians, when appropriate. Do Not offer critical advice without consulting counseling staff
? Provide a supportive environment
? Work under close supervision of the Program/House Manager in accordance with specific regulations, informing and writing an Incident Report immediately for unusual situations
? Report to Program/House Manager in person or by log any resident related incident or conversation that could have a therapeutic impact (i.e., illness, abuse of property or person, violence, threats, drug usage, etc.)
? Dispense medications when needed
? Provide transportation to 12-step meetings, healthcare providers, social service agencies, etc.
House Management
? Mainta n order and discipline.
? Regularly check appliances, lights, alarms, etc. throughout the house to ensure all is in proper working order.
? Deny access to the residence to unauthorized persons.
? Report directly (orally or in writing) to the Program/House Manager if a situation occurs with any resident
? Perform other related work as required/assigned
Qualifications
? Bachelor's degree and/or at least three years' experience in the fields of social work, addiction, case management, and counseling
? Ability to read, write and communicate clearly
? If recovering, minimum of three (3) years of sobriety
? Demonstrated knowledge of program development and evaluation
? Experience in trauma-informed care and client centered care
? Ability to establish effective relationships with persons of varying economic, social, racial, and ethnic backgrounds.
? Valid PA operator's license and full-time use of vehicle with necessary insurance.
? This position will require the ability to move, navigate stairs and lift objects
