The Hertz Corporation General Accountant (Intercompany) in Co. Dublin, Ireland

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic & ambitious General Accountant to join our friendly, busy experienced Finance team.   • Prepare and record Inter Company invoices/credit notes so that corporate and licensee locations can be recharged for costs that are to be reclaimed from the source country

  • Retrieving all necessary backup for Intercompany rebill

  • Receive and accurately record invoices/credit notes that are recharged from corporate and licensee locations so all Inter Company transactions can be correctly accounted for.

  • Prepare monthly reconciliations / Open Items for all Inter-company accounts to ensure current balances are correct and accurate and that there are no aged items over 90 days.

  • Prepare and submit the monthly Settlement Schedule detailing all invoices raised in the previous month to ensure prompt payment through the netting department.

  • Accurately record the monthly netting statement received from the Netting Dept to reflect the monthly settlement of final balances due to/ from the Inter Company country.

  • Prepare and submit the monthly rebill files for any automated rental adjustments that need to be settled via Netting

  • Maintaining log files of all incoming and outgoing invoices

  • Accurately record Inter-company re-bills and accruals in G/L of Hertz International Ltd

  • Assist in monthly consolidations

  • Ensuring all Intercompany balances consolidate correctly at the end of each month and any Intercompany outages are investigated and resolved in a timely manner

  • Prepare and submit the monthly VAT files for the Indirect Tax Team

  • Assist with queries from other departments (GA team, Reconciliations team, Tax Team)

What We’re Looking For:

  • Good understanding of accounting principles

  • Studying for an Accounting Qualification IATI, ACCA etc

  • Must be accurate, diligent and able to meet targets and deadlines / work on own Initiative

  • Team Player

  • Strong written and spoken communication skills

  • Intermediate / Advanced Excel & Word

  • Working knowledge of Oracle AP / General Ledger, and GAR would be an advantage
