Emerson LAN Services Development Manager in CLUJ NAPOCA, Romania

As a LAN Services Development Manager, you will be responsible for handling change and agile development of LAN and WLAN Services (including Managed DHCP, IPAM, and future Services) to produce changes in-line with the LAN Services roadmap and continuously evolving LAN Services portfolio. This will have a focus on the Managed LAN and Managed WLAN Services (including but not limited to Managed DHCP, IPAM, and future Services) We look forward to seeing your application!

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Working with Managed LAN/WLAN Services Owner on roadmaps/objectives and key results, KPI’s, priorities, resources, and improvements that need to be implemented.

  • Work with required teams for budgeting and asset management processes.

  • Working with all LAN Services engineers to produce change and improvements within WLAN/LAN Services.

  • Work with the Service Delivery & Operations group to train, support, and educate, so they deliver services with a high level of quality, reliability, and consistency across the enterprise.

  • Stay up-to-date and work with new and emerging technologies to help influence the direction feature releases of LAN Services.

  • Working in a multi-functional team to develop LAN Services requirements, designs, standards, results, and work with other projects and services as needed to ensure a consistent and reliable service.

  • Ability to work alone and prioritize time to meet assigned task, goals, and issue resolution.

  • Ability to manage a team of individuals to craft, develop, and implement service changes.

  • Ability to deliver efficient and effective communications to stakeholders.

  • Ability to supervise and manage internal and external projects and task via Azure Dev Op and Emerson ServiceNow.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Knowledge of LAN and WLAN technologies such Ethernet protocols, multi-gigabit networks, 802.11x, wireless access via Flex Connect and local WLCs, end-to-end wireless QOS through WMM.

  • Layer 2 and Layer 3 design aspects for enterprise LANs.

  • Knowledge of IP, routing, and subnetting.

  • BA/BS in Information Systems or related area (or equivalent experience).

  • ITIL v3 Foundation Level.

  • Passion for learning new technologies and consistency.

  • Ability to prioritize and work with multiple technologies and projects.

  • Minimum seven years of IT experience.

  • Minimum two years of project management.

  • Minimum two years of service transition or service engineering experience.

  • Minimum two years of experience in the design, implementation, and operation of Local Area Networks and/or Wireless networks with Cisco hardware in an enterprise environment.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Cisco LAN and/or WLAN Certifications.

  • RF knowledge.

  • Basic understanding of Agile development.

  • Ability to build any required content for management, engineers, and consumers of LAN Services.

  • Results oriented with personal accountability.
