Espas, Inc Quality Technician in Clinton Twp, Michigan
Basic Function
To perform inspections utilizing the Coordinate Measurement Machines, and Romer/Faro laser scanner arms with the ability to operate, set up, and program.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for inspecting parts according to customer requirements and specifications.
- Program a CMM, rum existing programs, and develop, edit, and test programs.
- Inspect, test, and measure parts, components, and materials using analytical equipment and gages.
- Assist with quality procedures, documents, and records to ensure completeness and accuracy for the laser buy-off and final inspection report.
- Responsible for compiling customer-specified reports with analysis.
- Report findings to the supervisor and take appropriate action.
- Other duties when requested.
Skills
- Have a solid understanding of PCDMIS
- Knowledge and experience of working with Coordinate Systems
- Must possess the ability to use height gage, calipers, micrometers and tools
- Must be able to interpret blue prints including GD&T
- Must be able to read and understand specifications, job orders, Bill of Materials, and work instructions
- Ability to communicate quality non-conformance's verbally and effectively present information to supervisor, co-workers, and management
- Must have knowledge/experience with measurement systems, variable gages, measurement scales, angle measurement instruments, calibration systems, blue prints, and engineer drawings
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Proficient in CMM Software, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
Education/Training
High School Diploma or GED required
Experience
Prior CMM operating experience
Proficient in CMM Software as well a Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
