Position Details:
- Type: Full-Time
- Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday -- Friday

- Pay: $22 - $26+ per hour, based on experience
- If Studer S-120 experience and capabilities are present compensation requirements will be considered
- Overtime may be available after training, depending on business needs
- $1,000 signing bonus after 120 days
Qualifications for Grinder Hand:
- Thorough understanding of I.D. and O.D., and surface grinding
- Experience with jig grinding and casting qualifications is a plus
- Follow all process documentation and work instructions including blueprint interpretation
- Proficiency in using standard measuring equipment (micrometers, bore gauges, etc.)
- Skills in dressing grinding wheels (flat and radius)
- Understand the different grades and grits of grinding wheels and appropriate application.
- Understand micro finishes and GD & T tolerancing (concentricity, radii, squareness, roundness, and run-out, etc.)

Studer experience is not required, but highly preferred:
- Familiarity with the STUDER S-120 and similar STUDER CNC grinders is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in programming and operating FANUC control systems is required.
- Knowledge of multi-spindle grinding
- Ability to write and modify programs for both ID and OD grinding, including familiarity with G-codes specific to these processes.
- Familiarity with STUDERWIN, the software typically used for programming and operating STUDER machines, including setting up grinding cycles, managing tool data, and monitoring the grinding process.
- Knowledge of integrating CAD/CAM systems for complex grinding operations, particularly if the parts require custom programs.
- Experience with setting up and calibrating the STUDER S-120, including adjusting the machine for various workpiece sizes and configurations.
- Knowledge of different work holding and clamping techniques for ID and OD workpieces.
Daily Job Requirements:
- Follow all process documentation and work instructions
- Operate various grinding machines for production and modification of existing parts
- Use standard measuring equipment to ensure parts meet blueprint specifications
- Collaborate with the Quality Department to ensure compliance
- Follow all safety rules and practices
- Demonstrate good dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling small parts
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
* Education and Experience:*
- High School Graduate or GED
- 3-5 years of experience in relevant grinding applications are preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate
