Big Stone Ag Service Agricultural Equipment Operator in Clinton, Minnesota

Need 2 full time, temporary, seasonal Agricultural Equipment Operators to work in Clinton, MN. Work: 60 hrs./week, Mon.-Fri. 12 hrs./day. From: 02/19/2025 to 12/19/2025 All hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of time and a half. Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year. Employer may request but cannot require workers to work on their Sabbath. The nature of farm work may require workers to work after dark and possibly weekends depending on weather conditions. JOB DUTIES: Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and primarily John Deere self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) such as tillage tools, grain cart, rock picker to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as wheat, soybeans, corn; Load agricultural products into trucks without over or underfilling bed or trailer, and drive to storage facilities that is close proximity to the farm; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Set up and operate irrigation systems; Job requires working in extreme temperatures, extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, walking, and repetitive movements; Work well with others in the group; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain a drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Able to perform work requiring exposure to exposure to extreme temperatures, extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, walking, and repetitive movements. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. No minimum education requirement. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance; employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
